Lawyers were not present when the verdict was pronounced

It does not matter whether the lawyer is present or not when the judgment is pronounced. The court will serve the judgment on the lawyer.

Article 196 of the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China.

The pronouncement of judgments shall always be made in public.

If the judgment is pronounced in court, the judgment shall be delivered to the parties and the People's Procuratorate that initiated the public prosecution within five days; if the judgment is announced on a regular basis, the judgment shall be served immediately to the parties and the People's Procuratorate that initiated the public prosecution after the verdict is announced. The judgment shall be served on the defender and the litigation agent at the same time.
