The right to privacy is a kind of personality right for natural persons to enjoy the peace of private life, protect private information according to law and not be illegally harassed, informed, collected, used and made public by others. Articles 1032 and 1033 of China's Civil Code clearly stipulate the protection of privacy. Unless otherwise provided by law or expressly agreed by the obligee, no organization or individual may photograph or peep at the private parts of others' bodies. If the right to privacy is infringed, the infringer may be required to bear civil liabilities such as stopping the infringement, removing obstacles, compensating for losses, apologizing, eliminating the influence and restoring reputation.

Article 1032 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that natural persons have the right to privacy. No organization or individual may infringe upon the privacy rights of others by spying, harassing, exposing or making public.

Privacy is the private space, private activities and private information that natural people live in peace and don't want to be known by others.

Article 103 Unless otherwise provided by law or expressly agreed by the obligee, no organization or individual may commit the following acts:

(a) by telephone, SMS, instant messaging tools, e-mail, leaflets, etc. Disturb the private life of others;

(2) Entering, taking photos or peeping into other people's private spaces such as houses and hotel rooms;

(3) Shooting, peeping, eavesdropping or revealing other people's private activities;

(4) Shooting or peeping at the private parts of others' bodies;

Article 364 of the Criminal Law stipulates that whoever disseminates obscene books, periodicals, films, audio-visual images, pictures or other obscene articles, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than two years, criminal detention or public surveillance.
