The film tells the story of an Okinawa man.
Ten years later, his mentor, Toranosuke Tanakami (played by Akira Kuramoto), the current director of Tanami Memorial Hospital, took a fancy to Okinawa's ability and brought him back to Japan, where he worked in the hospital as the director's daughter. Fukuko Tagami (played by Yuko Takeuchi), now a pediatrician who married a brain surgeon while away from Okinawa, joined the Tagami family's Tadanobu Tadami (played by Tadanobu Asano).
