Conditions for taking the bar exam
1, China nationality.
2. Support the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC) and enjoy the right to vote and stand for election.
3. Have good political, professional quality and moral conduct.
4. Have full capacity for civil conduct.
5. Have a bachelor's degree in law from full-time colleges and universities and obtain a bachelor's degree or above; Or have a bachelor's degree or above in non-law major in full-time colleges and universities, and obtain a master's degree or above in law; Or have a bachelor's degree or above in non-law major in full-time colleges and universities, obtain the corresponding degree and engage in legal work for three years.
The duty of a lawyer
1. Lawyers must abide by the Constitution and laws, and abide by lawyers' professional ethics and practice discipline. Lawyers' practice must be based on facts and take the law as the criterion. Lawyers' practice should be supervised by the state, society and the parties concerned. Lawyers' practice according to law is protected by law.
2. If a lawyer represents litigation legal affairs or non-litigation legal affairs, he shall safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the client within the scope of authorization.
3. As a defender, a lawyer shall, according to facts and laws, put forward materials and opinions on acquittal, lighter punishment or reduction or exemption of criminal responsibility of criminal suspects and defendants, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of criminal suspects and defendants.
