According to the relevant provisions of my country's Criminal Procedure Law, under normal circumstances, parties in criminal cases are not allowed to access file information, and can only be accessed by lawyers.
After the criminal case is concluded, the parties cannot copy the case file. Only the defense lawyer or other defenders can copy the case file materials when exercising their defense rights during the review and prosecution period.
Legal Basis
Article 38 of the "Criminal Procedure Law" stipulates that defense lawyers may consult, excerpt, and copy case file materials from the date the People's Procuratorate examines and prosecutes the case. Other defenders may also consult, excerpt, and copy the above-mentioned materials with the permission of the People's Court and People's Procuratorate.
