What should women bring to prison?

Inmates can bring clothes, pants, underwear, socks, money, toothpaste and other daily necessities to the prison.

However, it must be approved and inspected by the prison authorities. In addition, the prisoners' daily necessities are guaranteed to be supplied by the prison.

1. In prison, basic daily necessities are distributed. Generally speaking, prisons will issue two summer coats, two spring and autumn coats, two winter cotton coats, two pairs of shoes, two quilts, one bedspread, one quilt cover and one sheet, and there are also mattresses in summer. There is a thermos, a bucket, and a water cup each, and a travel bag for each person to store personal belongings, all numbered.

2. Food can ensure that the nutritional needs of individual survival are met. However, many people are not used to the taste, so they buy instant noodles, milk, biscuits and other non-staple foods, as well as ham and other cooked foods to supplement their food. In addition, some also need to eat the stir-fried snacks in the prison, which all cost their own money. Other daily necessities can be purchased with pocket money and labor remuneration without spending any money.

3. Daily necessities will be handed over by the detainees, and cash will be kept by the detention center. Non-daily necessities will not be collected or deposited by the detention center.

Article 8 The state guarantees the funds needed for prisons to reform criminals. Prison police funds, criminal rehabilitation funds, criminal living expenses, prison facility funds and other special funds shall be included in the national budget.

The state should provide necessary production facilities and production funds for criminal labor. Article 14 The prison police shall not engage in the following acts:

1. Requesting, accepting, and misappropriating the property of criminals and their relatives.

2. Release criminals privately or neglect their duties, causing criminals to escape.

3. Extorting confessions by torture or corporally punishing or abusing criminals.

4. Insulting the criminal’s personality.

5. Beating or allowing others to beat criminals.

6. Using criminals to provide labor for personal gain.

7. Delivering letters or goods privately to criminals in violation of regulations.

8. Illegally assigning the power to supervise criminals to others.

9. Other illegal activities.

If the prison police officers commit any of the acts listed in the preceding paragraph, which constitute a crime, they shall be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law; if they do not constitute a crime, they shall be given administrative sanctions.
