Which district does Toksun County belong to?

Toksun county belongs to Turpan area in Xinjiang.

Toksun, meaning "Nine Rivers", is located in the middle of Tianshan Mountain and the western edge of Turpan Basin. It belongs to the intersection of southern Xinjiang, northern Xinjiang and eastern Xinjiang. It is the only zero-altitude city in China and was once a famous post station on the ancient Silk Road.

The G30 line, G30 12 line, S30 1 line, S 103 line, Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway, Nanjiang Railway and the first and second lines of West-East Gas Transmission run through the whole territory. The county seat is 0/60km away from Urumqi/KLOC in the north, 300km away from Korla in the south, 50km away from Gaochang District in the east, and bordered by Heshuo and Jingjing in the west.

Historical evolution:

1958 ——1969 is directly under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. 1970 ——1974 belongs to Urumqi. 1975 belongs to Turpan area. The county seat is located in Toksun Town.

2065438+April 2005, the State Council approved the withdrawal of land from Turpan to set up a city, and Toksun County was subordinate to Turpan City. Toksun County governs 3 townships and 5 towns: Xia Xiang, Golubeii, Bostam, Toksun, Lake Ira, Kumish, Keerjian and Le Hui.
