Speech at the symposium of traffic police and police on the star of the month

Dear leaders and colleagues,

Hello everyone! I am very grateful to the leaders for their concern and attention to our young policemen and for giving me this rare opportunity to learn and communicate with you.

I entered the city hospital in August 2006, and it has been five years now. In the past five years, I have gone from school to society, which is a process of learning and gradual accumulation. In retrospect, there are four main experiences and feelings:

First, be enthusiastic.

Enthusiasm is the premise of doing a good job. Tolstoy once said that if a person has no enthusiasm, he will accomplish nothing. The greatest feature and main advantage of young people is enthusiasm. As a young man, you must look like a young man. You can't be depressed all day without passion and let others say you don't look like a young man.

Passion means optimism and peace. Since I went to work, I have been working happily every day, being kind to people and never doing things with resentment and emotion. Although I sometimes encounter pressure or even setbacks, I always believe that the sun is new every day. In * * *, my case was once heated up. At that time, I was under great pressure and couldn't sleep for many nights. I thought: I was unlucky and met something that others might never touch in my life, but I didn't give up. I firmly believe in myself, face it calmly and carefully prepare various plans. Finally, with the care of leaders and the support of comrades, the case was properly handled.

Enthusiasm is based on a sense of responsibility. Without a sense of responsibility, it is impossible to have a heartfelt enthusiasm for work and others. When encountering a problem, don't say "I won't", be brave as a pioneer, think more and ask more questions, try to write it down, and complete the task even if it is not perfect. When I went to work in 2006, I was assigned to a procuratorate. I don't have ready-made information at hand. After a little thought, I managed to finish one task at a time. At that time, someone once said to me, "Don't do back office work, it can't accomplish anything." With a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for work, I have also gained a lot in this back-office position. ...

Secondly, we must act.

Last week, Comrade Bai, a national model worker, came to the city hospital to give a report. I was deeply impressed by what he said. He said that the first step to make a dream come true is to "get up". Everyone has an ideal or goal in mind, but the key to turning it into reality is to put it into action.

I have a four-year-old daughter who pesters me to tell her stories every night. In the process of telling stories, I found many stories that I didn't really care about before. For example, everyone is familiar with the story of Hao Han bird. I just thought it was interesting before, and my attention was just "muddling along". Now that I think about it, it actually means action. Speaking of nesting without action, Hao Han birds finally froze to death in the cold wind.

Therefore, even the smallest plan should be put into action, and even the smallest plan should be regarded as an important way to improve one's own quality. After going to work in 2006, I began to contact the procuratorate daily and saw that many theoretical articles were written by police officers in primary hospitals. I made a plan for myself: I must see my words in the procuratorate daily in 2007. I submitted several drafts by email, but there was no response. Others say that the articles published by the procuratorate daily are all related households. I think the procuratorial daily publishes so many articles every year, are they all related households? It must be that the style of the manuscript does not meet the requirements. Later, I began to collect procuratorial daily newspapers, carefully studied the characteristics of articles published in opinion pages, and the hit rate of re-submission was much higher. Up to now, more than 20 theoretical articles have been published in national journals such as Procuratorate Daily, China Prosecutor and Public Prosecutor. Some time ago, the editor of * * newspaper sent me an email, hoping that I would contribute more to them.

Third, be cautious.

Details determine success or failure. It is also said that details determine fate. In recent years, some influential criminal cases, such as * * * case and * * * case, have some coincidences, but these coincidences often occur in details, mainly because some details are not fully considered.

After the * * * case happened, I put forward two requirements for my participation in the discussion or handling of the case: First, I should think like a lawyer; The second is to be as sensitive as a reporter. Why think like a lawyer? Because the lawyer's function is to find fault with the case from the defendant's point of view, but also to find fault with the case for review and prosecution. The difference is that lawyers find fault with us and we find fault with the investigation organs. If you can think like a lawyer and pick out the problems in advance, the space for handling cases will be large and the quality of cases will be guaranteed.

At the same time, when handling a case, we should not only consider the legal effect, but also consider the social and political effects, which requires enhancing sensitivity and grasping the potential hot spots in the case as keenly as a reporter. At present, China is in a period of prominent social contradictions, and the gap between the rich and the poor is increasing. The following cases are more likely to attract network attention: (1) cases involving possible inaction or disorderly actions of state organs; (2) Cases involving civil servants; (3) Cases involving social vulnerable groups such as migrant workers and laid-off workers; (4) Cases involving special social groups such as the rich second generation, the official second generation and the star second generation; (5) Cases involving journalists, anti-counterfeiting fighters, activists and other so-called justice celebrities. We must handle these cases carefully, and any small problem that is not noticed may cause social concern.

Fourth, don't be afraid of losing money.

Failure is a kind of happiness. No one wants to associate with people who love to take advantage. Only those who suffer can face themselves correctly and win respect.

When I was studying in Wuhan, I worked as a temporary translator for a while at Dongfeng Motor Honda Company. At that time, Dongfeng Honda Company had just been established, and all the written materials were entrusted to a translation company, and there was no professional written translation reference for automobile terms. Moreover, the company has a rule: those who do temporary translation for the first time will be graded by Chinese and Japanese personnel at the end of this translation period, with an average score of more than 90 points, and they can continue to do translation next time. I graduated from college at that time. Although I studied business Japanese, I know nothing about car terminology. On the first day as a translator, I was so confused that I couldn't understand anything. But I have a good attitude, and I took the initiative to go to the scene to help China workers master things and work, and use a notebook to understand and write down the Chinese names of parts; Then, while accompanying Japanese personnel on patrol, I took the opportunity to ask them the Japanese names of the parts. Go back to the dictionary at night and make a glossary of professional terms by yourself. The next day, when I appeared in front of Chinese and Japanese personnel with my own technical term paper draft, they gave me a thumbs up. In this way, I was able to work as a temporary translator in Dongfeng Honda Motor Company during the winter and summer vacations, earning enough tuition and living expenses for three years.

Therefore, after work, I also tell myself: don't be afraid of losing money, usually do more and learn more; Don't be afraid that comrades can't see and leaders can't remember. Everyone comes from young people. Before I came to the city hospital, I was still very strange to computers. EXCELL is hardly used, and the typing speed is very slow. But now, because of my work, I am proficient in WORD and EXCELL, and won the second prize in the computer competition held in the city last year. In the past five years, I have been unknown and conscientious, and I have never asked the leaders for any honor or request, but the leaders and comrades have never forgotten me. I was rated as an advanced worker year after year, and last year I was rated as an expert in youth positions in the city because of the recommendation of the college.

I went to Wuhan to do something two days ago and went back to Wuhan University to see my tutor. He said to me with emotion, it's good that you are so young. I asked him, what is good about being young? Nothing? He said, young and energetic, not demoralized; Have spirit, not laziness; Brilliant, not boring. I was deeply moved by these words. In the future, I will continue to study hard, practice diligently, keep the spirit of young people, not impetuous, not sinking, and do my work well in a down-to-earth manner!
