As an academic leader in the discipline of law and economics, Professor Tao has offered five courses for undergraduates and postgraduates: Economic Analysis of Law, Law and Finance, Market and Supervision, and Legal Methodology and Thesis Writing. These courses are offered for the first time in our school and are widely welcomed by students. The required course Methodology of Law and Economics, which has been taught for a long time, was awarded as an excellent postgraduate course in 20 16. Professor Tao was also awarded as an outstanding teacher in Beijing in 20 17.

Postgraduate training
Professor Tao's goal is to cultivate applied, compound, innovative and international high-tech talents with both morality and law. In academic guidance, we often provide students with all kinds of cutting-edge materials and books, and organize academic seminars to broaden their academic horizons and consolidate their professional theories. At the same time, it pays attention to the teaching of research methods and learning methods, and strictly requires students to abide by academic norms and academic ethics. The guidance of students' papers is more detailed and comprehensive. There have never been any problematic dissertations, and several of them have been rated as excellent dissertations. Students are employed in key universities, state organs, regulatory agencies, investment banks, securities companies and well-known law firms, which have won unanimous praise from employers.
Discipline construction and education and teaching reform
Professor Tao attaches great importance to the internationalization of the discipline. His team of law and economics teachers has successively signed joint research and teacher-student exchange agreements with the law schools of nine world-class universities in Europe and America, and established a team of teachers with an international background. Master students and doctoral students have gone abroad to participate in joint training with world-class universities. The cooperation with the research team of law and economics in the law schools of world-class universities has greatly enhanced the construction and international influence of the two disciplines of law and economics in China University of Political Science and Law. In terms of interdisciplinary training, the interdisciplinary construction project of "Law and Finance" presided by Professor Tao was approved on 20 19.
