According to the nature of work, lawyers can be divided into full-time lawyers and part-time lawyers; according to the scope of business, lawyers can be divided into civil lawyers, criminal lawyers and administrative lawyers; according to the client and work status, lawyers can be divided into social lawyers, corporate lawyers and public lawyers . Lawyer business is mainly divided into litigation business and non-litigation business.

As far as the qualifications of a "lawyer" are concerned, they include: having certain legal knowledge, having a "bachelor's degree or above in the law major of a college" or "a bachelor's degree or above in other majors in a college"; passing the national legal professional qualification Examine and obtain qualifications; obtain a practicing certificate with the approval of the national judicial administrative department; fourth, provide legal services to the society and make this a career. Those who obtain Class A certificates can apply to practice law nationwide; holders of Class B certificates can apply to practice law; those who hold Class B certificates and obtain a bachelor's degree or above can enjoy the same employment as those with Class A certificates or scope of practice, there is no need to change the Type B certificate to a Type A certificate; those who have obtained a bachelor's degree after holding a Type B certificate and meet other conditions stipulated in the Judges Law and the Prosecutors Law can be employed as judges and prosecutors according to work needs and procedures. official.
