Employment prospects in maritime law

First of all, it depends on personal efforts. If you study well, pass the judicial examination, become a lawyer, or work as a legal consultant for a foreign-related company, maritime law students have a bright future. Because China is gradually increasing overseas trade, and maritime law is still an unpopular major in university legal education, there are only two maritime universities in China, Dalian Maritime University and Shanghai Maritime University.

If your studies are average, you can only be unemployed like other law undergraduates after graduation (except those with good family conditions and strong social connections, of course). You can also change industries and engage in non-legal jobs.

The concept of maritime law (maritime law) can be flexibly used in different contexts as needed. The adjustment objects of the narrow maritime law should be defined as "specific social relationships that occur during maritime transportation" and "other specific social relationships related to ships." The adjustment objects of the broad maritime law include not only maritime legal relations and maritime service trade legal relations between equal entities, but also vertical maritime administrative relations and maritime criminal legal relations between unequal entities.

Maritime law in a broad sense includes the attributes of multiple departments and can be regarded as an independent legal department.

Article 1 of the "Maritime Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates as follows:

In order to adjust the relationship between maritime transportation and ships, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties, and promote maritime transportation and This law is enacted for the development of economy and trade.
