Responsibilities of Shaanxi Lawyers Association

According to the provisions of the Lawyers Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Articles of Association of People's Republic of China (PRC) Lawyers Association, the Lawyers Association shall perform the following duties:

1. Support lawyers to practice according to law and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.

2. Formulating the professional norms of lawyers and the management system of the lawyer industry;

3. Guide the standardized construction of law firms; 4. Summarize and exchange lawyers' working experience, and improve the overall practice level;

5. To be responsible for the education, inspection and supervision of lawyers' professional ethics and discipline;

6. Responsible for the daily management of the registration of lawyers and law firms, and entrust judicial organs to handle the annual registration of law firms and lawyers;

7. Formulate the outline of lawyer education plan, carry out pre-practice training and post-practice continuing education for lawyers, and formulate the training outline and teaching materials for trainee lawyers;

8. Handling complaints against lawyers and law firms;

9, mediation lawyers and law firms in the practice of disputes;

10, publicizing the work of lawyers and publishing lawyers' publications;

1 1, organize lawyers and law firms to carry out foreign exchanges;

12, developing lawyer welfare;

13. Establish and improve the lawyer's practice liability insurance system to ensure that lawyers practice according to law;

14. coordinate relations with judicial, law enforcement and administrative organs and put forward legislative and judicial suggestions;

15, other duties entrusted by the judicial administrative department and the superior lawyers association;

16, other duties stipulated by laws and regulations.

As of September 2004, Shaanxi Lawyers Association has 273 corporate members (namely law firms) and more than 2,700 individual members (namely practicing lawyers). Shaanxi Lawyers Association is also a group member of all china lawyers association.

Shaanxi Lawyers Association now has seven special committees, including the Financial Work Committee, the Lawyers' Business Development Committee, the Lawyers' Rights Protection Committee, the Lawyers' Disciplinary Committee, the Lawyers' Education Committee, the Lawyers' Professional Rules Committee and the Women Lawyers Committee. The special committee is the working body under the Standing Council, whose main duties are: to implement the resolutions of the Council and the Standing Council, to perform the duties of the Association, and to give full play to the self-discipline of the Lawyers Association.

Shaanxi Lawyers Association also has ten professional committees in criminal, civil, economic and commercial affairs, foreign-related legal affairs, administrative law, intellectual property rights, financial securities, environment and resources law, labor and social security law, and protection of minors' rights and interests. As the guiding body of lawyers' self-discipline business research under the Standing Council, the lawyers' professional committee is mainly responsible for: organizing lawyers to carry out theoretical research and business exchange activities; Drafting relevant professional standards for lawyers; Guide and standardize lawyers' business activities.

Shaanxi Lawyers Association has three working departments: office, member department and business department, which undertake the daily work of the association and host Shaanxi Lawyers magazine.
