What can an Eye of Judgment girlfriend do?

Eyes of Judgment's girlfriend system simply provides additional subplots and does nothing else. Compared to the past, where Kiryu has been a thousand times more likely to bring an escort out to play along with the scene, this time around, the girlfriends are finally a more three-dimensional portrayal of the character's personality. While there are still some crossovers left in the story, overall the trial has been a lot more restrained than the last few Kisaragi.

Background:

Takayuki Yagami was 15 when his parents were murdered. Although his father, who was a lawyer at the time, succeeded in winning an acquittal in the murder trial he was in charge of, the victim's family retaliated by killing not only his father, who was in charge of the defense, but also his mother.

After the death of his parents, Yagami became an orphan and spent his teenage years in Kamurocho in a state of self-loathing, but with the support of many people, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a lawyer.

Then, Yagami takes on the role of defense attorney in a murder case. Like his father back then, Yagami campaigned to prove the innocence of the suspect, Shinpei Okubo, and eventually succeeded in winning a not guilty verdict. The acquittal was a miracle in the 99.9% guilty Japanese criminal courts, and Yagami became a popular lawyer.

But Shinpei Okubo, who was acquitted, brutally murdered his live-in girlfriend after his release. Not only did he stab his partner dozens of times with a kitchen knife, but he also set fire to the apartment where they lived.

The brutal murder committed by a man who had just been released from prison caused people's opinion of Yagami to plummet. Shinpei Okubo, the "fake lawyer who lets murderers get away with murder," is sentenced to death, and Yagami, who once worked wonders, loses the reputation he built in the past overnight. He also lost his faith as a lawyer.

Three years later, Yagami took off his lawyer's badge and became a detective in what is almost a convenience store. Kamurocho has always been a place where people who have been victimized in the past naturally flock to, given the mix of crime and violence in the area. Yagami, who considers this place to be his second home, begins to live quietly in this place. However, a series of murders occurred in Kamurocho.

Even though the killings are not unusual in this town, the series of brutal murders in which the eyes of all the corpses were gouged out shook everyone to their core. Yagami takes on a commission from the law firm where he worked during his lawyer days simply for the sake of payment, and pursues the serial murders step by step. What he doesn't realize is that the truth he is about to face will change his destiny.
