Pan Junwei is dead

Pan Junwei is not dead. He was sentenced to six years in prison for intentional injury. After more than seven months of running around, Gao Zhiqiang, a migrant worker, finally came up with a statement. A few days ago, the Shijingshan District Court of Beijing made a first-instance judgment on the case of "losing money and kidney" (which was reported by this newspaper many times). The murderer Pan Junwei was sentenced to six years' imprisonment for intentional injury and compensated Gao Zhiqiang for medical expenses. * * * More than 14, yuan.

On January 9th this year, because of 7 yuan's salary, Gao Zhiqiang was stabbed seriously, and his right kidney was removed, which was identified as a serious injury by forensic doctors. On January 13th, the murderer Pan Junwei was detained by Shijingshan Branch of Beijing Public Security Bureau, and was arrested by the procuratorate on February 4th. On April 14th, the public security organ concluded the investigation and transferred it to the Shijingshan District Procuratorate for review and prosecution.

The procuratorate found out that at the beginning of this year, Pan Junwei went through Xie Xiaoliang to find workers near Liuliqiao in Fengtai District of this city, and Xie Xiaoliang tricked more than 3 workers into a rented house in North Xin 'an, Shijingshan District twice. On the afternoon of January 9th, workers and Xie Xiaoliang had a dispute over wages. Xie Xiaoliang called Pan Junwei and asked him to explain the wages to the workers. After Pan Junwei arrived, he stabbed Gao with a knife.

On May 27th, Shijingshan District Procuratorate brought the case to court. On August 24, the Shijingshan District Court made a first-instance judgment after trial.

After receiving the verdict, Gao Zhiqiang said that he had mixed feelings. Although the murderer was punished by law, the compensation was too small. He said that he is now a seven-level disability and needs follow-up treatment, but the amount of compensation is very low, and Pan Junwei made it clear that he has no ability to compensate.

Gao Zhiqiang said that he was still considering whether to appeal.
