Article 264 of the Criminal Law: Whoever steals public or private property in a relatively large amount, or commits theft for many times, burglary, theft with a murder weapon or pickpocketing shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance, and shall also, or shall only, be fined.

1, according to the provisions of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate's Interpretation on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Laws in Handling Criminal Cases of Theft, combined with the economic development and social security situation in our province and the reply of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate Law [2013]138, the criteria for determining the amount of theft in our province are as follows:
(1), theft of public and private property is "large", more than 2,000 yuan.
(2) Theft of public and private property is "huge", more than 50,000 yuan.
(3) Theft of public or private property is "extremely huge", which is more than 400,000 yuan.
