Xiong Researcher: Female, from Tianmen, Hubei Province, graduated from Peking University Law Department 1988, with a bachelor's degree in law. 199 1 year-1996 studied in the graduate school of China university of political science and law, and obtained a doctorate in law. 1996 worked in the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Now he is the director and researcher of the procedural law office of the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Professor and doctoral supervisor of Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; At the same time, he is the executive director of china law society Criminal Procedure Law Research Association, the director of China Branch of International Criminal Law Association, the director of the Prosecutorial Theory Professional Committee of China Prosecutorial Society, the member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the First Branch of Beijing People's Procuratorate, the director of Oriental Public Welfare Law Firm, and the editor-in-chief of Legal Research.

From May to October, 2000, he was a visiting scholar at the Norwegian Institute of Human Rights. From April to June, 2005, he was engaged in the research of China-EU cooperation project at Max Planck Institute of Foreign Criminal Law and International Criminal Law in Germany. From September 2006 to February 2006, I was a visiting scholar at Yale Law School.

He has published more than 50 papers in domestic and foreign journals such as Comparative Study of Criminal Law (France), China Law, Legal Studies, Chinese and Foreign Law, Law, Forum on Politics and Law, Law Review and Research on Law and Commerce. Among them, the influential papers are Prospects for the Reform of Criminal Justice System in China (1995), On the Revision of Criminal Procedure Law (1995), Theoretical Basis of criminal defense system (1996) and Analysis of Litigation Value in criminal defense system (1997). He has published two personal monographs: On Criminal Defense (Law Press, 1998 Edition) and Changing Criminal Procedure Law (Peking University Press, 2004 Edition). In addition, he also edited or participated in the writing of many monographs, such as Suggestions and Arguments on the Revision of Criminal Procedure Law —— Centering on the Protection of Defendants' Rights, Defense of Death Penalty Cases, United Nations Criminal Justice Standards and China's Criminal Legal System, Research on the Implementation of Criminal Procedure Law, Research on Criminal Investigation Procedure, Theory of Criminal Evidence, and Protection of Criminal Evidence Law Rights, and participated in the writing of China University.

The research achievements have won many awards, including the first and second prizes for outstanding scientific research achievements of young and middle-aged procedural law in china law society, the first prize for legal works of the Ministry of Education, the special prize for outstanding achievements in philosophy and social sciences in Beijing, the outstanding thesis prize of the Ministry of Justice, and the outstanding countermeasure achievement prize of the China Academy of Social Sciences. 20 10 was awarded the title of Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in the Sixth National Congress by china law society.
