Chaoyang District, which belongs to Beijing, is located in the south-central part of the main urban area of Beijing, bordering Shunyi District and Changping District in the north, Tongzhou District in the east, Fengtai District and Daxing District in the south and Haidian District, Dongcheng District and Xicheng District in the west, with a total area of 470.8 square kilometers and an average elevation of 34 meters.
