Historical development

In the fourth year of Tang Wude (621), Yongfeng Town was established. It was named after Yongfeng Mountain in the north of the town and belonged to Shangrao County, Raozhou. It was the first time Guangfeng town was established.

In the first year of Ganyuan (758), Xinzhou was established. At the same time, it is analyzed that Yongfeng County is located in the southeast of Shangrao County, and Yongfeng Town belongs to the southwest of Xujiang County (now Jiangshan City) in Quzhou. It was placed under Xinzhou when the county was first established.

In the seventh year of Yuanhe (812), Yongfeng County of the province was transferred to Shangrao County.
