Those who meet the following conditions may serve as people's jurors:
1. Support the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC);
2. At least 28 years old;
3. Law-abiding, well-behaved, fair and decent;
4. Have the physical conditions to perform their duties normally;
5. Generally, it is a high school education or above.
Citizens serving as people's jurors shall meet the following conditions:

In order to protect citizens' participation in judicial activities according to law, promote judicial justice, enhance judicial credibility and standardize the selection of people's jurors, according to the provisions of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on People's Jurors and the Measures for the Selection of People's Jurors, people's jurors are now openly selected by the Shuangqiao District Judicial Bureau of Chengde City, the Shuangqiao District People's Court of Chengde City and the Shuangqiao Branch of Chengde Municipal Public Security Bureau. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
I. Elected posts
There are 77 elected jurors in Shuangqiao District, of which 62 are people's jurors randomly selected; The number of people's jurors selected by individual application and organization recommendation is 15.
Second, the selection conditions
(1) To serve as a people's juror, the following conditions shall be met:
1. Support the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC);
2. At least 28 years old;
3. Law-abiding, well-behaved, fair and decent;
4. Have the physical conditions to perform their duties normally;
5. As a people's juror, you should generally have a high school education or above.
(2) The following persons cannot serve as people's jurors:
1. Members of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress, staff of the supervisory committee, people's courts, people's procuratorates, public security organs, state security organs and judicial administrative organs;
2. Lawyers, notaries, arbitrators and grassroots legal service workers;
3. Other persons who are not suitable for serving as people's jurors due to their positions.
(3) No one may serve as a people's juror under any of the following circumstances:
1. Having received criminal punishment;
2. Being expelled from public office;
3. The practicing certificates of lawyers and notaries are revoked;
4. Being included in the list of people who have lost their trust;
5. Being removed from the post of people's juror due to punishment;
6. Other serious violations of law and discipline that may affect judicial credibility.

Article 8 The number of people's jurors shall be determined by the basic people's court according to the needs of hearing cases and submitted to the Standing Committee of the people's congress at the same level. The number of people's jurors is not less than three times the number of judges in this court.
Article 14 People's jurors and judges form a collegial panel to hear cases, with the judge as the presiding judge, or a collegial panel of three judges and four people's jurors, or a collegial panel of seven people.
