Yunnan Province, referred to as Yun or Dian, is one of the 23 provinces in China. It is located in southwest China and the provincial capital is Kunming. Between 21 8′~ 29 15′ north latitude and 97 31′~ 106 1′ east longitude. It borders Guizhou and Guangxi to the east, Sichuan to the north, and Tibet to the northwest. As of 2021, Yunnan Province has a permanent population of 46.9 million. It is the province with the most ethnic groups in China.
Yunnan Province is China’s radiation center for South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is located at the junction of China, Southeast Asia and South Asia. It has been selected as a national free trade pilot zone. It is an important part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, a popular tourist destination and a major cultural tourism province in China. In 2021, the gross regional product (GDP) of Yunnan Province was 27.14676 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% compared with 2020.
