I was caught in the process of handling a criminal case (burglary and murder), but the court has not given a verdict!

Most criminal cases go through three stages from arrest to sentencing, that is to say, a complete criminal procedure includes:

1. Investigation stage (public security stage)

2. Review and prosecution stage (procuratorate stage)

3. Trial stage (court stage).

In most cases, it takes about six months to complete all three procedures. In other words, it takes about six months from the time a person is arrested to the time a verdict is rendered. In a small number of difficult, major, and complex criminal cases, this process will be greatly lengthened. The reason why the law sets up three organs (public security, procuratorate, and court) to review a criminal case separately is mainly because the consequences of criminal cases are often the deprivation of people's most basic freedom and right to life, so special care must be taken to prevent wrong cases.

There is still some time before the court session, so we have to go through legal procedures.
