What is your future development direction? My birthday was in December 1990, almost twenty-seven. Since graduating in 2013, I have been working in the legal profession. From Chengdu to Shenzhen, from assistant lawyer to leading lawyer to independent lawyer, one step at a time. I've won billions in lawsuits, made mistakes, and gotten into trouble. If you talk about your current state, it is wilderness survival. I worked as an assistant lawyer in Chengdu in 2013, and I only had 1,500 a month, and nothing else (five insurances and one housing fund, of course). This company is one of the best in Chengdu, but it is really poor. I went to have lunch with my colleagues and saw a G2000 shirt for less than 200 yuan. I thought about it and didn't want to buy it. I came to Shenzhen in 2014 and continued to work as an assistant lawyer. It rose to 4,000 a month, so happy. The firm I work for is also very good in Shenzhen (in terms of business volume, my former employer ranked first in Shenzhen last year). I feel that my back is very straight outside. Now think about it, how did I survive on this salary? Now I feel incredible. In 2015, the firm transferred to the litigation department. When switching from a back-end transaction lawyer to a front-end trial lawyer, the first thing to do is to whiten your talent. I exchanged all the year-end bonuses I received in the first year for the series of books issued by the Supreme Court and started munching on them. At the same time, I started to sign up for training such as i-court. By the second half of the year, it started to pay off. The other party I contacted for a previous project called me and entrusted me with a case. This is my first case. At that time, the amount in dispute was calculated and the transaction was concluded at a government-guided price of NT$60,000. To this day, I am very grateful to this client, not only because of his trust in me, but also because of his recognition, which made me realize my own value. In 2016, something unexpected happened to me and I had to leave with my partner. According to my previous employer's rules, I also had to leave my job. This incident really had a great impact on me at the time, because my previous career plans were based on continuing to stay in this firm, including which partners I would cooperate with to handle cases and learn how to consult. Once you leave, all this is gone. I struggled for months and finally failed. I still have to go, so now I’m here at this company. Of course, there are no twists and turns in life for everyone. Regroup and start again. In 2017, I became officially independent, which means no one will pay me a salary anymore. It was really a bit panicky at the time, but looking back now, it was completely freeing. Wilderness survival mode is officially launched. "He who is willing to give up freedom in exchange for security will have neither freedom nor security." - Hayek As an independent lawyer, what he can never get rid of is the feeling of uneasiness. When I don’t make money, I feel uneasy because of poverty. After paying the lawyer's fees, the client will be anxious because of his sense of responsibility to the client - is the case stable? Unstable? Could you please do more research and do some work? It is common to lose sleep all night over a case.
