It is often heard that judges turn to lawyers. Why?

Some people complain about the work of the court and want to resign as a lawyer, but many people have the idea of resigning, and few people really take practical actions. First of all, lawyers earn much more than judges. Take a third-and fourth-tier city in Jiangxi as an example. If a lawyer works for three to five years, the average income is between 300 thousand and 500 thousand. With the accumulation of years and the increase of contacts, the income will generally increase with the years, and it is possible to achieve an annual income of one million. Judges, such as judges in grass-roots courts, generally have an annual salary of150,000 to 200,000, which is quite good. It is estimated that the annual income of 300,000 yuan is only in those economically developed areas in China, such as first-tier cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai. Judges with an annual salary of one million are more likely to go to jail.

Second, the work pressure of lawyers is much lower than that of judges. As far as grass-roots courts are concerned, a judge handles about 300 cases every year on average. Lawyers handle about 30 to 50 cases every year. The workload can be imagined.

Third, lawyers have much higher freedom than judges. As far as lawyers are concerned, they can take more cases if they want to make more money, and they can not take cases for a year if they are not short of money. Unlike a judge, you have to accept the case assigned to you by the case handling system unconditionally. In recent years, with the strengthening and continuous improvement of anti-corruption efforts and supervision mechanism, judges have been subject to many constraints. As public officials, their words and deeds are supervised and they are not free. Lawyers are a bit like self-employed or freelancers, relatively free.

Of course, lawyers have the difficulties of lawyers and judges also have the difficulties of judges. The competition in the lawyer industry is also very fierce. Some lawyers lack the source of the case, and they panic when they don't receive the case for several months. Relatively speaking, judges are guaranteed income through drought and flood, and the state finances are guaranteed. Moreover, compared with social status, judges are still higher than lawyers.
