After that, six and a half years later, on October 7, 2001, 165438, the original verdict was revoked again due to insufficient evidence. On October 28, 2001, Zhang Yuhuan still refused to accept the appeal, and the final judgment was: the appeal was dismissed and the original judgment was upheld. Zhang Yuhuan did not have a lawyer to defend her. After being imprisoned, he still refused to plead guilty and the Zhang family was still complaining. Zhang Yuhuan's lawyer Wang Fei discovered various doubts, which cannot directly prove Zhang Yuhuan's guilt.
A few years later, he appealed again. On March 1, 2065, Zhang Yuhuan was tried again. The Jiangxi High Court believed that Zhang Yuhuan’s appeal met the requirements and decided to retrial. On July 9, in Zhang Yuhuan’s fourth trial, the lawyer defended Zhang Yuhuan’s innocence. In court, the prosecutor made an opinion and declared Zhang Yuhuan innocent. The prosecutor said that the physical evidence was not enough to directly prove Zhang Yuhuan's criminal behavior. Zhang Yuhuan's two confessions are inconsistent, and their authenticity is doubtful. There was only one confession that led to the conviction. The confession was proved first and was inconsistent with the facts, so the verdict was not guilty.
In his last appeal, Zhang Yuhuan still complained about being separated from his wife after spending more than 26 years in prison, and asked the court for justice. On August 4, the court sentenced Zhang Yuhuan again, and finally acquitted Zhang Yuhuan due to insufficient evidence.
