Why do lawyers bring interpreters when they meet deaf people?

Legal analysis: Deaf people usually use sign language when communicating. If there are deaf-mute people in the criminal court and they have a direct interest in the whole case, then there should be a designated interpreter for these deaf-mute people during the trial.

Legal basis: Article 12 1 of the Criminal Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that when interrogating deaf-mute suspects, people who are familiar with deaf-mute gestures should participate, and this situation should be clearly recorded.
