The judicial examination is divided into four volumes. The first volume (1) examines the socialist concept of rule of law, jurisprudence, legal history, constitutional law, economic law, international law, private international law, international economic law, judicial system, legal professional ethics and other subjects.

Full-time institutions of higher learning have obtained a bachelor's degree or above in non-law major and a corresponding degree, and have been engaged in legal work for three years.
