The legal basis is Article 15 of the "Prison Law":
For criminals who have been sentenced to death with a two-year suspension of execution, life imprisonment, or fixed-term imprisonment, the People's Court shall issue an execution notice and the judgment is delivered to the public security organ where the criminal is detained. The public security organ shall take the criminal into custody for execution within one month from the date of receipt of the execution notice and judgment.
If the criminal’s remaining sentence is less than three months before being handed over for execution, the detention center will execute the sentence on his behalf.

In judicial practice, within one month after the judgment becomes legally effective, the public security organs will transfer them to prison to execute their punishment. After two months of training, they will officially leave the team. Within the specified period after leaving the team, the prison will issue a notification to family members, which will detail the prison area and date of meeting.

If it is the first instance, the first instance judgment will take effect after the parties sign the receipt, and neither party will appeal during the appeal period.
