Legal e-commerce is coming, how should lawyers respond?

At present, most lawyers are still in the era of manual workshops, closed and conservative, unwilling to share their own sites, which is incompatible with the Internet era. To be fair, there are only a few barristers in China, and the customers who come here are in an endless stream, earning a lot of money. The opposite reality is that many colleagues are still struggling for more than ten years or even decades, and it is difficult to find the source of the case, not to mention our group of young lawyers who seem to have no experience after the 1980s. Lawyers can't find the source of the case, legal demanders can't find lawyers, and the contradiction between supply and demand in the legal market is becoming more and more prominent in the traditional legal market. Legal demanders can't find lawyers just because they generally think that legal services are expensive.

Facing the market with unbalanced demand, the emergence of legal e-commerce not only impacts the traditional legal market, but also makes the whole market more civilian. The legal e-commerce mentioned here is different from online legal services. Online legal service is a very broad concept, which can include legal consultation, legal collection, judicial examination training, legal skills training and so on. Legal e-commerce is a legal service transaction activity based on the application mode provided by network operators, and its profit point lies in the e-commerce mode. To put it more bluntly, legal e-commerce is another form of Alibaba, but legal e-commerce sells legal services. The legal services of professional lawyers are displayed online like commodities, and clients can choose the legal services they need.

Civilian positioning has given legal e-commerce a broad market space. Through intelligent service programs, cumbersome legal procedures become simple, and expensive lawyer legal services become cheap. This model has formed a scale abroad, but in China, it can be said that this model has just started. In recent years, some legal websites such as Zhonggu.com, Zhaofa.com, 1 10.com have developed, covering almost all kinds of legal services, and digging out their own relatively stable profit model. There is a huge market demand in China. Take small and medium enterprises as an example. There are tens of millions of small and medium-sized enterprises in China, with millions added every year, but more than 90% of them have never hired legal counsel. The market of legal e-commerce is to build a platform between enterprises and lawyers, so that corporate legal services are no longer expensive, and lawyers are increasingly going to the corporate legal service market to obtain more cases.
