Shao Jianwei's exposure

On June 65438+1October 65438+July 2004, Taiyuan Intermediate People's Court made a first-instance judgment: Li Manlin was sentenced to death and deprived of political rights for life.

"Li Manlin didn't expect to be executed!" A lawyer who once defended Li Manlin Group told reporters. After being sentenced to death in the first instance, Li Manlin was in a bad mood and immediately confessed to Shao Jianwei, who had provided protection for himself for many years. It was Shao Jianwei's involvement in the case that led to his two old bosses, namely Wang Guowei, former secretary-general of Taiyuan Municipal Committee, and Hou Wujie, former deputy secretary of Shanxi Provincial Committee.

One of the reasons why Wang Guowei was involved in the case was that when he was the secretary of Xinghualing District Committee of Taiyuan City, he had abnormal economic exchanges with Shao Jianwei, then the director of Xinghualing Public Security Bureau. Wang Guowei was suspected of taking bribes and indirectly became the umbrella of Li Manlin Group by interfering with the work of the political and legal system.

Wang Guowu served as traffic director in Taiyuan, and later served as secretary of Xinghualing District Committee for many years; In 2002, he was also rated as "excellent leading cadre" by the municipal party Committee and municipal government; At the beginning of 2003, Wang was transferred to the Standing Committee of Taiyuan Municipal Committee and Secretary General of the Municipal Committee.

After Wang Guowei, Hou Wujie, former secretary of Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee, followed closely.

Hou Wujie, born in1September 1999, 1945, is from Yuxian County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. He used to be deputy secretary of Changzhi Municipal Committee, secretary of Yangquan Municipal Committee, member of the Standing Committee of Shanxi Provincial Committee, minister of Propaganda Department, secretary of Taiyuan Municipal Committee and deputy secretary of Shanxi Provincial Committee.

200 1 in the first half of the year, the post of director of Taiyuan Public Security Bureau faced adjustment. Shao Jianwei, then deputy director of Taiyuan Public Security Bureau, paid bribes to become the director of Taiyuan Public Security Bureau. Hou Wujie admitted that he received $654.38 million from Shao Jianwei, a Patek Philippe watch worth HK$ 58,000 and a gift of RMB 20,000 during his tenure as Party Secretary of Taiyuan. In return, Hou promised to be the director of Taiyuan Public Security Bureau.

But Shao Jianwei's dream failed. In June of 20001year, Shao Jianwei was transferred to Linfen, and in September of the same year, Hou Wujie stepped down as secretary of Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee. Since then, the case of Li Manlin Group has been in full swing.
