Who is Zhou Huanwang's son? A brief introduction to Zhou Huanwang Ji Lin. What about Zhou Huanwang?

Ji Lin is the grandson of Zhou Pingwang and the son of Prince Ji Xie. In 72 BC (fifty-one years in Zhou Pingwang), Zhou Pingwang died. Because of the early death of Prince Jiluofu, Jilin, the son of Luofu, was elected as the king of Zhou Huan. [1]

During Ji Lin's reign, due to Zheng Bofu's meritorious service, Wen (now southwest of wen county, Henan Province), located on the north bank of the Yellow River and south of Yinghe River, was given to Zheng, and the territory of the Zhou Dynasty was reduced again.

In the past, after the death of a vassal and the mourning of his son's succession, he had to rush to the capital to receive the conferment of the Emperor of Zhou, so as to gain orthodox status. In 712 BC, Lu Huangong killed his younger brother Yin Gong, did not ask Huan Wang for a seal, and established himself as a monarch. [2] Since then, the system of emperors and princes has been destroyed. In 76 BC, the State of Chu forced the King of Sui to ask the King of Huan to raise the title of Chu. King Huan of Chu refused, and Xiong Tong, the king of Chu, promoted himself to a knighthood after scolding Ji Lin, calling him Chu Wuwang. After receiving the report, Ji Lin was angry and ashamed, but he was helpless.

After Ji Lin succeeded to the throne, Zheng Zhuanggong continued to monopolize power as a minister of the DPRK. Ji Lin was unwilling to be controlled by him, so he drove Zheng Zhuanggong away. After Zheng Zhuanggong returned to China, he created troubles, disturbed the peace around him, and the relationship between the two sides became increasingly tense. Soon, under the guise of the life of the son of heaven, Zheng Zhuanggong sent troops to attack the State of Song. Ji Lin was furious and simply dismissed him from his position as a manager. Zheng Zhuanggong didn't show weakness. He didn't go to Luoyi for five years in a row, saying that he didn't take Ji Lin seriously. Ji Lin couldn't bear it, and despite the dissuasion of ministers, he personally led an army to crusade against Zheng Zhuanggong. Zheng Zhuanggong saw that Ji Lin didn't listen to his advice, so he had to personally come to crusade with a great army. Although the two armies could not meet, they could meet on the battlefield.

The two armies met in Changge (now northeast of changge city), and Ji Lin was eager to win and sent someone to challenge Zheng Zhuanggong. Zheng Zhuanggong arrayed himself and held his ground. Zhou Jun shouted abuse in the afternoon, but Zheng Jun didn't go to battle. They all showed fatigue and relaxed. Zheng Zhuanggong took the opportunity to wave the flag and beat the drum to charge Zhou Jun.. Zhou Jun was caught off guard and was defeated. Ji Lin had to retreat and cut his own way. Dani, the general of Zheng, saw from a distance that an arrow hit Ji Lin's left shoulder. Fortunately, Ji Lin's armor was thick and the injury was not serious. Zheng Zhuanggong saw that he had taught Ji Lin a lesson, but he was afraid that his men killed Ji Lin, took his life, and made him suffer in public opinion. He sounded the golden bell and quit, and let Ji Lin escape. [3]

Afterwards, Zheng Zhuanggong sent Zaifu, the minister, to make amends to Ji Lin, saying that he was just preparing to protect himself. Unexpectedly, his men violated discipline and offended the Emperor, and went to the camps to express their condolences to the soldiers. Ji Lin couldn't help taking this as a step, announcing Zheng Zhuanggong's impunity, and never asked about Zheng Guo's affairs again. The battle of Changge discredited Ji Lin, and also knocked out the signboard of Zhou Tianzi, who was ordered by heaven to assist the quartet. Ji Lin's name of "the son of heaven" was destroyed, and the position of "the son of heaven" of Zhou Dynasty was also destroyed.

In March of 697 BC (the 23rd year of King Huan of Zhou Dynasty), Ji Lin was seriously ill, and called Duke Hei Shoulder of Zhou to the bedroom to entrust an orphan: "According to the ancestral system, I made my first son Ji Tuo a prince. However, my favorite son is my second son, Ji Kao. Today, I will pay you Jiketuo. If Jituo dies, I will let Jike succeed to the throne. You must try your best to finish this great event. " Soon, Ji Lin died of illness in Luoyi. [4]

After the death of Ji Lin, posthumous title became the King of Huan.
