What's the difference between the judicial bureau and what we usually call the judiciary?

The Bureau of Justice is not a judicial organ, but an administrative organ, the full name of which is the Judicial Administration Bureau.

Judicial organs refer to procuratorates and courts, among which procuratorates are legal supervision organs, which undertake the duties of arrest and prosecution of criminal cases, filing and investigation of some special criminal cases, protesting civil administrative cases, and supervising the investigation activities of public security organs. The court is the judicial organ of the country, and everyone is familiar with it, so I won't go into details here.

Since the Justice Bureau is not a judicial organ, what does it do? Taking the judicial bureau of a prefecture-level city as an example, its responsibilities are mainly:

(a) to study and draft local laws and regulations on judicial administration; Prepare the development plan and annual plan of judicial administration in this Municipality, and supervise the implementation.

(two) responsible for organizing and guiding the resettlement of released prisoners.

(three) responsible for the team building and ideological and political work of the judicial administrative system of this Municipality.

(four) to study and formulate the overall planning of the legal publicity and education work in this Municipality, and organize, guide and coordinate the legal publicity and education work in this Municipality.

(five) to be responsible for the management of lawyers, legal aid, notarization institutions and notarization activities in this Municipality; Study the reform and development of lawyers and notaries, and put forward implementation measures.

(twelve) responsible for the city's national judicial examination.

(thirteen) responsible for community correction work.
