Conditions for taking the judicial examination

The conditions for participating in the judicial examination are as follows:

Persons who meet the following conditions can register for the National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination:

1. Have the qualifications of the People's Republic of China Nationality;

2. Support the People's Republic of China and the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, and enjoy the right to vote and be elected;

3. Have good political, professional and moral qualities;

4. Have full capacity for civil conduct;

5. Have a full-time bachelor’s degree in law or above from a general institution of higher learning, and obtain a bachelor’s degree or above; a full-time bachelor’s degree in law from a general institution of higher learning or above; and above, and have obtained a master's degree in law, a master's degree in law or above; a bachelor's degree or above in non-laws from a full-time general institution of higher learning, and have obtained a corresponding degree and have been engaged in legal work for three years or more.

Those who have any of the following circumstances are not allowed to register for the National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination:

1. Those who have received criminal punishment for intentional crimes;

2. Those who have been dismissed from public office or have had their lawyer's practicing certificate or notary's practicing certificate revoked;

3. Those who have had their legal professional qualification certificates temporarily withheld;

4. Those who have had their legal professional certificates revoked Professional qualification certificate. Qualification certificate;

4. Those who have been given a two-year ban from registering for the National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination (National Judicial Examination) have not expired or have been given a lifelong ban from registering for the National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination (National Judicial Examination). 5. Due to serious breach of trust, the person is identified as a joint punishment target for breach of trust by the relevant state units and included in the national credit information sharing platform;

6. Being banned from practicing law for life due to other circumstances.

In the case of one of the circumstances specified in the preceding paragraph, if the registration formalities have been completed, the registration will be invalid; if the examination has been taken, the examination results will be invalid.

Notes:

1. Plan your travel time reasonably. Test takers can enter the test center 45 minutes before the test, and are not allowed to enter the test center 30 minutes after the test starts. Candidates' vehicles are not allowed to enter the test site.

2. Bring the documents and supplies required for the exam. Candidates need to bring their ID card, admission ticket, and signature pen; candidates who take the subjective paper-based test also need to bring their own 2B pencils, erasers and other test supplies. Except for necessary stationery, books, notebooks, papers, newspapers, electronic supplies, storage devices, communication tools and other items are not allowed to be brought into the examination room.

3. Conduct simulation drills in advance. Candidates can log on to the official website of the Ministry of Justice and use the "2023 National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination Objective Questions Computerized Examination Simulation System" to learn about the computerized examination environment and answer methods, examination question types, question volumes, scores, etc. in advance.

4. Strictly abide by examination disciplines. Candidates must carefully study the "National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination Rules", strictly abide by examination disciplines, refer to them with integrity, and eliminate cheating.
