The incident occurred in the "Mengmeng Preschool (Kindergarten)" in Jiefang District, Jiaozuo City. What happened:
The incident was caused by Wang Yun, a teacher in the kindergarten, who administered sodium nitrite. The incident resulted in the poisoning of 25 children. One of the poisoned children died after 10 months of treatment.
It is reported that when the offender Wang Yun was working in the kindergarten, he had a conflict with his colleague Sun Moumou, the middle class teacher, due to student management issues, so he decided to retaliate against Sun Moumou and took the sodium nitrite he carried with him. Put it into the snacks for middle school students. Wang Yun had previously poisoned Feng because of a conflict with her husband Feng. Feng was poisoned by nitrite after drinking water, and the degree of injury was minor injury level two.

After the incident, the Jiefang District of Jiaozuo City launched an emergency plan, established an emergency response leading group, and carried out medical treatment of young children and related investigations. After preliminary investigation, the incident was caused by the injection of sodium nitrite by Wang, a teacher in the kindergarten. The motive and related cases are under investigation, and Wang has been criminally detained.
