The difference between a legal consulting firm and a law firm.

There are significant differences in legal status, qualification requirements and service scope between the two places.

1. Legal Consulting Co., Ltd.: This kind of company is usually an enterprise, which is registered and established by the administrative department for industry and commerce to provide legal consulting services. Its business scope may include non-litigation legal services such as legal document drafting, legal knowledge training and legal risk assessment. The requirements for the establishment and operation of legal consulting companies are relatively loose, and all staff members are not necessarily required to have lawyer qualifications. Law firm: established by qualified lawyers according to law and approved by the provincial judicial administrative department, it mainly provides legal services such as litigation agent, legal consultant and arbitration agent. The establishment and operation of law firms have strict examination and approval systems and industry norms, and all partners and practicing lawyers must hold legal and valid lawyer practice certificates.

2. Legal Consulting Co., Ltd.: Because it does not have the qualification of litigation agent, it is usually unable to directly represent the client in litigation or arbitration proceedings, and can only provide non-litigation legal services. Law firm: it can provide all-round legal services, including but not limited to representing civil, criminal and administrative cases, participating in mediation, negotiation, issuing legal opinions and other legal affairs.
