There are two versions of the name of Dianji Town:
One view originates from Gaogong Township Records (a collection of rural address shops), completed in August, 1960. The store was originally called Zhejiang Online Store. According to legend, during the Warring States Period, this place was at the junction of Chu and Song. At that time, there was a brave man who occupied this place and became the king, so he was called the King of Zhejiang, hence the name Zhewang Palace. Later, a small collection emerged in Wangzhe's east Yunnan area called Dian (Dian) Collection. Another theory comes from the "Collection Area Chronicles" completed in May 1982. The store's original name was Zheshu Store. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a passing shop located under a big Zhe tree on the roadside, named Zheshu store. Later, this place gradually developed into a market, hence the name Dianji.
Obviously, these two statements are different. The former originated from Wang Zhe, and the latter originated from Zhejiang. The former has been around for a long time, the latter is recent. However, they are all related to the word "zhu". The "Zhe" of King Zhe should be a surname. Whether it is related to the genus Zhe or whose surname is it is difficult to verify. Historical records record: Zhejiang was the land of Chu, and later Luoyang was a county; Shi Zhe, Dr. Chu, took the land as his surname; Chu Gong was a descendant of Emperor Ji, so the surname Zhe originated from the emperor. In ancient times, there was "Zhe Zhi" in the Spring and Autumn Period, and in the Han Dynasty, there was "Zhe Zhi".
