Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, is located in the south of North China Plain, the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, and the north of central Henan. It is bordered by the Yellow River in the north, Songshan Mountain in the west and the vast Huanghuai Plain in the southeast. Zhengzhou became the capital of China in the middle of Shang Dynasty more than 3000 years ago.
