Liu Xingwei's court decision

The prosecution believes that Liu Xingwei ignored national laws and illegally deprived others of their lives. If the facts of the crime are clear and the evidence is sufficient, criminal responsibility should be investigated for the crime of intentional homicide. Liu Xingwei's defense lawyers believe that Liu Xingwei is defending itself, which is excessive.

On April 9, 2006, the Intermediate People's Court of Fushun City, Liaoning Province sentenced Liu Xingwei to death for intentional homicide, deprived him of his political rights for life, and ordered him to compensate Zou Youxue, the plaintiff in the incidental civil action, for economic losses of 42,000 yuan.
