The reason why the crime of infringing citizens' personal information is newly stipulated in the ninth amendment of China's criminal law is that the crime of online fraud is high in China, and the serious disclosure of citizens' personal information is one of the important reasons.
In addition to strengthening criminal crackdown, we should also strengthen protection against acts that infringe on others' privacy rights, such as buying and selling personal information.
Including public security organs, banks, vehicle management offices and other state organs and institutions to strengthen the protection of citizens' personal information, and the awareness of citizens' personal information protection in intermediary institutions such as law firms is gradually increasing.
In addition, the act of infringing others' privacy is also an infringement, and the victim can sue the other party for infringement in court, demanding to stop the infringement, compensate for the loss, apologize and eliminate the influence.
This law is based on article 253 of the Criminal Code of People's Republic of China (PRC).
