Yongji city is located in the southwest of Shanxi Province, in the southwest corner of Yuncheng Basin, with the Yellow River facing Dali County and Heyang County of Shaanxi Province in the west, Ruicheng County in the south, Salt Lake District in the east and Linyi County in the north.
