Why was the rescue suspect Zhang sentenced?

Illegal. In the movie Save the Suspect, Zhang plays China gold medal female lawyer Chen. After her daughter was kidnapped, she received a mysterious phone call asking her to plead not guilty for a condemned man within five days. At the end of the film, Chen was sentenced to one year in prison and suspended for two years for obstructing judicial investigation.
