Gansu Provincial Public Security Department:
Gansu Provincial Public Security Department is the functional department of Gansu Provincial People's Government in charge of the province's public security work, under the dual leadership of the provincial government and the Ministry of Public Security. Cities and counties (county-level cities and districts) have public security bureaus (sub-bureaus) and police stations in towns, townships and streets. The public security bureau (sub-bureau) and the police station accept the leadership of the people's government at the same level and the public security organ at a higher level respectively.
Main responsibilities:
(a) to study and formulate the principles and policies of the province's public security work; Drafting local laws, regulations and drafts related to public security work; To guide, supervise and inspect the public security work in the whole province.
(two) to organize and guide the public security organs in the province to carry out reconnaissance, investigation and intelligence information work on cases endangering national security and social and political stability; Undertake the responsibility of investigating and handling major cases and study and formulate corresponding countermeasures.
(three) to organize and guide the public security organs in the province to carry out the investigation of criminal cases and directly undertake major and difficult cases.
(four) responsible for public security management. Guide and supervise the public security organs in the province to carry out public security management according to law, investigate and deal with acts that endanger public security order, and cooperate with local party committees and governments to deal with major public security accidents and mass incidents; To guide and supervise the safety management of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs and the control of precursor chemicals.
(five) responsible for entry and exit management. Organize and guide the exit, entry, residence and tourism management of foreigners in our province; Administer port frontier inspection according to law, and organize and guide frontier security management.
(six) to guide and supervise the province's fire prevention, fire fighting and disaster relief work.
(seven) to guide and supervise the public security organs in the province to maintain road traffic safety, traffic order and management of motor vehicles and drivers.
(eight) to guide and supervise the public security organs in the province to carry out information network security, information communication construction and management.
(nine) to guide and supervise the public security organs in the province to prevent and deal with the illegal and criminal activities of cult organizations.
(10) Organizing, guiding and coordinating the prevention and combating of terrorist activities.
(eleven) to guide and supervise the execution of punishment undertaken by the public security organs in the province according to law; To guide and supervise the management of detention centers, detention centers, compulsory drug rehabilitation centers and detention education centers in the province and the examination and approval of reeducation through labor by public security organs.
(twelve) to undertake the duties of party and state leaders and important foreign guests, important meetings and major gatherings.
(thirteen) to organize and guide the province's public security criminal technology and technical reconnaissance work, and undertake the duties of criminal technical inspection and identification and technical reconnaissance.
(fourteen) responsible for the province's public security organs equipment (equipment), business expenses, police construction and other security work.
(fifteen) responsible for the management of the province's public security fire and security forces, and guiding the public security frontier forces to carry out related business work.
(sixteen) to guide the construction of the province's public security team; To formulate rules and regulations for the management of public security teams in the province, and manage cadres according to the prescribed authority; Responsible for organizing and guiding the inspection and audit work of public security organs; Supervise the police according to the prescribed authority; Investigate or supervise major cases of violation of discipline in the public security team.
(seventeen) to guide the public security organs of railways, civil aviation, forestry and customs to carry out their business work.
(eighteen) to undertake other tasks assigned by the provincial party committee, the provincial government and the Ministry of public security.
