Supervise and guide the public security work of organs, groups, enterprises and institutions within their jurisdiction according to law, and organize and guide the security organizations of units and the masses to carry out public security prevention activities; Carry out multi-level prevention and treatment work with the Security Council as the main body within the jurisdiction to prevent preventable cases;
6, through the daily public security management work to find clues to illegal crimes, cracked the general criminal cases accepted by the police station;
7, investigate and deal with public security cases according to law, and mediate public security disputes;
8, to assist the public security organs at higher levels to deal with mass incidents;

2. How long should the police station be closed?
Generally not more than thirty days.
Receiving the police, accepting the report, filing a case, investigating and collecting evidence, informing and making a punishment decision (or issuing a mediation agreement). According to Article 99 of the Law on Public Security Administration Punishment, the time limit for public security organs to solve public security cases shall not exceed 30 days from the date of acceptance; If the case is serious and complicated, it may be extended for 30 days with the permission of the public security organ at the next higher level. In order to find out the case, the time limit for judgment is not included in the time limit for solving public security cases.

Article 1 This Law is formulated for the purpose of maintaining public order, ensuring public safety, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations, and standardizing and ensuring that public security organs and their people's police perform their duties of public security administration according to law.
Article 2 Anyone who disturbs public order, endangers public safety, infringes on personal rights and property rights, and hinders social management, which is harmful to society and constitutes a crime in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law; If it is not serious enough for criminal punishment, the public security organ shall impose administrative penalties for public security in accordance with this law.
