Forensic identification procedure

1, forensic expertise is mainly entrusted by public security bureau, procuratorate and court. If a case handled by a public security organ at the county level requires forensic identification of personal injury, it shall entrust the forensic expert of the public security organ at the county level for preliminary identification, and shall not be carried out without authorization.

2, entrusted by the handling unit, shall not entrust a forensic identification in the name of individuals.

3. The public security organ shall prepare sufficient identification materials and submit them to the forensic doctor for examination before entrusting the forensic doctor. The injured party shall cooperate with the case-handling unit to provide medical records, inspection reports and imaging diagnostic data (X-ray, CT, etc.). ) and other identification materials.

4. The forensic doctor shall conduct a personal examination of the appraisee, may request supplementary appraisal materials, and has the obligation to determine the appraisal opportunity. The entrusting unit and the authenticated person shall cooperate with the judicial authentication.

5. For the appraisers whose mobility is severely limited, the case-handling unit and the forensic doctor can go to the appraiser's place for personal examination.

6, the case handling unit or the parties to the case that the forensic expert conclusion (or opinion) is not sufficient, incomplete, found new materials, answer new questions, the case handling unit may entrust the original forensic expert to make supplementary identification.

7. If the parties to the case think that the conclusion (or opinion) of the forensic expert appraisal has any objection, they may apply to the case-handling unit to entrust the forensic doctor of the public security organ at the next higher level for re-appraisal.
