Article 52 When meeting with detainees, they should hold valid certificates: detainees should hold valid identity certificates for interviews. If a detainee entrusts a lawyer to meet with him, he shall also hold a lawyer's practice certificate, a certificate of law firm, a power of attorney or a letter of legal aid. The police of the detention center shall examine the relevant documents and certificates of the detainees, fill in the meeting registration form and arrange the meeting in time.
Interviews with detainees should be conducted at the time and area specified by the detention center, and the regulations on the management of interviews with detainees should be observed. Generally, the number of meetings with detainees is no more than 2 times, the number of people meeting each time is no more than 3, and the meeting time is no more than 3 minutes. Under special circumstances, if it is necessary to meet the detainees on non-meeting days or increase the number, number and time of meetings, it shall be approved by the director of the detention center.
The lawyer entrusted by the detainee is not limited by the number and time of meetings, but should meet during normal working hours.
in case of violation of the regulations on meeting management, the detention center may warn or order to stop the meeting.
after the meeting, the detention center shall conduct a physical examination of the detained person and send him back to the detention room.
At the request of the detained person or his relatives and friends, the detention center can arrange a remote video interview with the detained person.
