Does the detention center have the right not to allow lawyers to meet criminal suspects for reasons? If so, what is the legal basis?

Personally, there are only two reasons why the detention center does not allow lawyers to meet with criminal suspects:

1, where the procuratorate has decided to initiate public prosecution, the detainee shall, before receiving the copy of the indictment;

2. The lawyer does not hold the work permit of the law firm (or legal advisory office) and the special letter of introduction in a fixed format.

Relevant legal basis:

"Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) Detention Center" and "Measures for the Implementation of Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) Detention Center"

In addition, there is no reason to prohibit lawyers from meeting detainees.
