Article 16 of the Regulations on the Administration of Internet Audio-visual Program Services stipulates that the audio-visual programs provided by Internet audio-visual program service units and accessed by network operation units shall comply with the provisions of laws, administrative regulations and departmental rules. Audio-visual programs that have been broadcast shall be kept for at least 60 days. Audio-visual programs shall not contain the following contents:
(1) Opposing the basic principles set by the Constitution; (2) endangering national unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity; (3) divulging state secrets, endangering state security or damaging state honor and interests; (4) Inciting national hatred and discrimination, undermining national unity and infringing on national customs and habits; (5) propagating cults and superstitions;
(6) Disrupting social order and undermining social stability; (7) luring minors to commit crimes and exaggerating violence, pornography, gambling and terrorist activities; (8) Insulting or slandering others and infringing upon citizens' personal privacy and other legitimate rights and interests of others; (nine) endangering social morality and damaging the excellent cultural traditions of the nation; (ten) other contents prohibited by relevant laws, administrative regulations and state regulations.
