Article 7 of the Provisions on Protecting Lawyers' Practice Rights according to Law
Defense lawyers are not subject to monitoring when meeting criminal suspects and defendants, and the case-handling organ shall not send personnel to be present. In the case that the lawyer's interview room is insufficient, with the written consent of the defense lawyer, the detention center may arrange the interview in the interrogation room, but the recording monitoring equipment shall be closed.
