Victims enjoy the following rights. Excerpted from the Criminal Procedure Law edited by Chen Guangzhong, Peking University, Higher Education Press (4th Edition), pp. 75-76.
-Judges, prosecutors and investigators have the right to complain about violations of their litigation rights and personal insults;
-the right to participate in court investigation, the right to make statements in court about the crimes alleged in the indictment, and the right to ask questions to the defendant; Have the right to ask questions and cross-examine witnesses; Have the right to identify and authenticate physical evidence, have the right to listen to written testimony and other evidence materials, have the right to present opinions to the court on the above evidence, have the right to apply for notifying new witnesses to appear in court, apply for obtaining new physical evidence, and apply for re-identification and inspection.
-Have the right to participate in court debates, express opinions on evidence and cases, and argue with public prosecutors, other parties and defenders.
-Have the right to appeal to a court or procuratorate against a legally effective judgment or ruling.
-Have the right to use the spoken and written languages of their own nationalities in litigation.
