First, the background of the topic.
May 2004 is the month of popularizing law. In order to strengthen the legal awareness and safety awareness of primary and secondary school students in China, safeguard their legitimate rights and interests and protect their life safety by legal means, various activities to publicize laws and regulations have been held all over the country. In real life, students have few opportunities to get in touch with society, and naturally they have a shallow understanding of China's law. Some accessible legal knowledge only comes from books, such as fur.
The safety of school teachers and students is the main concern of the whole society in China, especially our students. But in fact, the number of students who die in safety accidents in our country every year is amazing. Therefore, as citizens of a country ruled by law, it is our bounden duty to actively study laws and regulations, and it is our right to protect ourselves by legal means.
In this activity, our school responded positively and performed a "mock trial" program. This performance not only made us understand the court trial process, but also improved our legal awareness and made us understand the importance of knowing the law, obeying the law and using it.
Second, the research process
(1) Research time: March-May 2004.
(2) Research location: Shexian No.2 Middle School.
(3) Investigation process: Since March 2004, we have seen a lot, heard a lot and felt a lot through the personal practice of studying law popularization. In order to show our research study results, we got the opportunity to perform "mock trial" at the school's "Red May" literary report.
Accept the task
The news that the "Red May" literary performance and the "mock trial" program will be held has already spread all over the campus. This kind of program can be said to be the first time in the history of No.2 Middle School. Our classmates in each class dare not neglect at all. They are all quietly waiting for the good news. They all want to show their research results on the stage, and even want to be a judge or lawyer once. Perhaps the students in our class are more passionate and hopeful than those in other classes. Finally, our class accepted this glorious task in one fell swoop. Naturally, actors are indispensable in rehearsal. Because this program is unprecedented in our school, it is very popular with everyone. Students took the initiative to register, and as a result, the number of places was full, so they had to "choose the best among the best" and finally decided to 12.
② Brief introduction of case background
This mock trial performance is a civil litigation case: the plaintiff and his daughter sued Wang San for compensation for a traffic accident. The process is as follows: On March 12, 2003, I drove the Anhui P-24567 small car from Jixi to Tunxi, and when I overtook the big truck driving in the same direction, I knocked down Li Si riding a bicycle on the roadside, causing Li Si to die on the spot. Therefore, the plaintiff's mother and daughter filed a lawsuit with the court, demanding that the court safeguard their legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law, make a judgment on the defendant, and demand that the defendant compensate the plaintiff for related expenses.
③ Assign roles
If a good actor wants to fully display his talents on the stage, he must also have a role suitable for his personality. It can be said that he has everything except the east wind. Little actors like us, it's the first time that big girls get on the sedan chair. So I care more about the distribution of roles, for fear that it is not suitable for me. Fortunately, the comrades of the county judicial bureau helped us solve this problem. After repeated consideration and careful selection, the role was finally determined. There are 12 roles in the mock trial, namely, four judges (one presiding judge, two judges and one clerk), two plaintiffs, one defendant, three witnesses and litigation agents (i.e. lawyers) of both parties.
④ Rehearsal process:
As the saying goes, "One minute on stage, ten years off stage". After several days of rehearsal, we deeply realized the truth of this sentence. Although we are high school students, we are like reading a gobbledygook. I usually see those actors acting so realistically on TV, but it seems that it is not easy for us to act on our own. However, "newborn calves are not afraid of tigers." For us little actors, we are not afraid of anything. No rehearsal experience, no guidance and help from instructors and comrades of the Judicial Bureau; No audience watched the rehearsal, but there was concern and support from the school leaders. Repeated rehearsal has become our only feasible way, which naturally verifies the saying that practice makes perfect. After several rehearsals, the performance can finally be put on stage. It seems that it is unknown whether it is a student or an actor. Looking back now, this performance is also wonderful. After rehearsal, we also know a little about the procedure of civil trial: announcing the trial-reading the court order-presenting the testimony of both parties-presenting evidence and cross-examination-defending by lawyers of both parties-talking with the judge-reading the trial book.
The last performance
After several days of hard work, we finally waited until the moment of the performance, when we were nervous in front of more than 800 people, we said we were not nervous, but we felt a lot of pressure. However, from the moment I played, my nervousness was overcome by the belief of winning. At that time, all our twelve actors were involved. We know that a good actor can blend in with the audience, but for those students who have never seen the world, winning the applause of the audience at last is our greatest expectation. 1 hour program ended with applause from the audience. As we expected, applause was our last trophy, and the onlookers praised us: "What are the students learning?" This made us even more proud. Although the performance is over, we will always keep that moment in our hearts.

Third, the research results of the subject
This report performance left a deep impression on the teachers and students of the whole school, and also left a deep thought for ourselves.
(A) middle school students lack of practice, should be more contact with society, to participate in social practice activities.
Nowadays, primary and secondary school students are generally spoiled, regarded as "little emperors" and blindly quiet about "Xanadu", resulting in the phenomenon of being out of touch with society, and the consequences are unimaginable. Every primary and middle school student will go out to the society. Now, we should take the initiative to understand the society, know the society and get in touch with it. Participating in social practice is the only way for teenagers to grow up healthily. Especially for us high school students who are about to face the college entrance examination, we should make two preparations. Even if you fail in the exam, you can get a foothold in society early. We should not just hold books, but go out, get in touch with our society and participate in social practice.
(2) Middle school students' legal awareness is weak, so they should consciously study and abide by the law and enhance their legal awareness.
It can be seen from this performance that most of our students have a weak legal concept. The consequences of this phenomenon are very serious. In a big way, the legal system in our country is improving day by day. In order to adapt to this general trend, our personal legal awareness should also be continuously enhanced. From a small point of view, when our legitimate rights and interests are infringed, we should use legal weapons to safeguard our legitimate rights and interests. It can be seen that studying law is of great benefit to our students. Knowing the law, abiding by the law and protecting the law should be our unshirkable obligation.
(3) Many middle school students lack safety awareness, so they should consciously enhance safety awareness.
This mock trial heard a traffic accident case in which the plaintiff's husband died. Although it is only a script, there are many people who died in traffic accidents in real life, among which primary and secondary school students account for a large proportion. It is also common for middle school students to violate traffic regulations, run red lights and drive motor vehicles under the age of 18. We should understand the most basic truth: there is only one life, and safety is our top priority. No matter who you are, you should raise your awareness of traffic safety, cherish others and cherish your own life.
In a word, through the research study of this legal subject, we realize that we should "always combine everything with the law!"
Teacher's comments:
Young students are the future of the motherland and the hope of the nation. Legal education is the embodiment of Theory of Three Represents. We adhere to the principle of "focusing on participation and putting people first" and carry out legal education activities with the aim of improving the ideological and moral quality of young students.
The rehearsal and performance of "mock trial" is not only a profound experience of twelve students in legal practice, but also a vivid and novel publicity and education activity. It not only exercises students' practical ability, but also enhances the legal concept and safety awareness of teachers and students in the whole school. Through "mock trial", teenagers can realize self-education, self-study, self-restraint and self-improvement, form a healthy life, sound personality and all-round development, enable young students to master some basic legal knowledge, enhance their legal awareness, use legal weapons to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, and form a climax of consciously learning, understanding, abiding by the law and using it.
This "mock trial" is very necessary. It will certainly play an important role in improving the legal knowledge, legal quality and legal awareness of our students. It is a good thing for the country and the people. In the future, we must carry out this work in a down-to-earth manner, attract young students to participate actively through various forms they like, and make legal popularization activities not go through the motions.
This research case is simple and clear. Although it looks rough, it is worth reading, because it truly records the process of studying and popularizing law in our school. Therefore, we are still happy to recommend it to the higher authorities to participate in the selection of excellent cases of research-based learning.
