These three towns are directly related to Songshan Lake. At first, Songshan Lake was a large natural reservoir located in Dalang Town. Government departments have divided some marginal areas of Dalingshan, Liaobu and Dalang towns near Songshan Lake, and regrouped with the lake area to form a new national high-tech industrial development zone. Dongguan Songshan Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as Songshan Lake) is located in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, and is an important part of the city. Songshan Lake is strategically located between Da Lang, Dalingshan and Liaobu, in the geometric center of Dongguan, with a control area of 72 square kilometers. The park not only has 8 square kilometers of fresh water lake and 14 square kilometers of ecological green space, but also has 6.5 square kilometers of wetlands, forming a modern science and technology new city integrating natural beauty and technological innovation. Apart from its function as a science and technology industrial park, Songshan Lake is also a famous tourist attraction. It has 8 square kilometers of lake surface, 6.5 square kilometers of natural wetland, 14 square kilometers of ecological green space and more than 300 kilometers of ecological greenway. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
Dongguan is located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province, east of the Pearl River Estuary and northeast of the Pearl River Delta. 1985 changed to Dongguan (county-level city), which still belongs to Huiyang area. 1988 was promoted to a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of the province.
